Welcome to our Junior School, where innovative teaching and learning is combined with superb facilities and resources ensuring children develop emotionally, physically, socially and academically, in a stimulating environment which encourages every child to achieve their full potential across all area of Eagle House life.
Each day is spent carefully balancing core curriculum, life skills, resilience and team work around the children’s interests. Vibrant displays fill the walls and children and staff are fully immersed in a supportive and dynamic way of learning together.
Our whole school Golden Eagle programme starts in the Early Years with our ‘Skills for Life’ where children come together to immerse themselves in aspects of learning that have such an important place in their development; they become passionate photographers, sustainable cooks, environmental wardens or open fire chefs under the canopy in the woods and enjoy STE (Science Technology Engineering) led by sixth form pupils from Wellington College.
Children are encouraged to appreciate the importance of a healthy body and mind through regular sporting activities ranging from quiet moments of yoga and splashing in the pool, to fun events organised with local primary schools.
Daily ‘Me Moments' encourage them to actively reflect on their feelings and become increasingly aware of a range of emotions. Our Wellington College Prep's Code ensures all children understand the boundaries of behaviour; they learn to see mistakes as opportunities to grow and to become accepting of one another’s differences.
