At Wellington College Prep, our Year 8 pupils transition to a variety of top independent senior schools.
All parents receive expert guidance on potential senior schools and both the Headmaster and Deputy Head meet with every parent to discuss the best options for their child.
The teaching staff at Wellington College Prep have extensive knowledge of a great number of senior schools and a deep understanding of each pupil’s strengths and talents. This enables our team to support parents with the decision of choosing the right senior school that will enable their child to thrive and flourish.
The majority of senior schools are now using ISEB pre-test assessment in Year 6 for their selection process for places in Year 9. Wellington College Prep prepares pupils for this pre-test in Years 5 and 6.
Pupils in Year 7 and 8 follow Curriculum 200 which has replaced Common Entrance and furnishes senior schools with a whole plethora of data collected over a pupil’s Years 7 and 8 journey. This means that meaningful information allows senior schools to accurately assess and place children who arrive in Year 9.
