The Upper School in Wellington College Prep includes Year 5 through to Year 8 (ages 9 to 13). Whether you are joining us from another school or moving up from Year 4, the aim remains the same; to give children a world-class, all-around education.
Everything we do is designed to help them ‘Learn for Life’ which in a modern and progressive Prep School means developing their key learning skills in the classroom, creating new passions and interests through the activities programme, building their confidence through the extensive co-curricular offering and most importantly, making long-lasting and supportive friendships.
In the Upper School, we aspire to find the talent that lies within each child and then nurture it. We are fortunate to have an outstanding team of teachers and support staff who are skilled and passionate about teaching children.

We aim to challenge all of our children to reach their full potential academically, artistically, creatively, musically and on the sports field whilst building confidence levels that allow leadership qualities to come to the fore. Children at Wellington College Prep feel happy, secure and very much part of the family.
At the end of their journey, all Wellington College Prep children leave us as interesting and interested individuals. They are confident but not arrogant and in the classroom they are independent learners who are fully prepared for what lies ahead.
For over half of our leavers, this will mean a place at Wellington College, but we also prepare and send children to all of the country’s leading senior schools. All our children transfer to a senior school that is right for them and we spend a lot of time working with our parents to make sure we get this decision right.
